How to configure Star Rating?

Introduction​

This guide will help you understand how to display star ratings and reviews on your online store using the Air Reviews app. We'll go through each step, from enabling the star rating to displaying it on various pages of your store.

Setting Up Star Rating​

First, please navigate to the Air Reviews app and select 'Display reviews' from the left-hand menu. Then, choose 'Setup' at the Star rating.

  • Enable 'Star Rating' to display the rating in your store.
  • If you want to display the rating on the Catalog page, please tick 'Show on Catalog page'.

  • To display the rating on specific product or collection blocks, tick 'Show on specific product/collection blocks'. This will show the rating on the Home page and collection pages.

  • If you prefer to only show the review star on products with reviews, tick 'Only show review star on products with reviews'.

Displaying Star Rating on Product Pages​

  • To display the Star Rating on product pages, please go to the 'Theme' page and select 'Customize'.

  • Next, select 'Products'.

  • Choose 'Add Block' and then 'Review Summary'.

  • You can move the block to the position where you want to display the Star Rating.

  • After successfully adding the block, please click 'Save' to store the changes.

For themes that do not support OS 2.0, you can set up directly on your app.

Setting Up Star Rating for Non-OS 2.0 Themes​

  • Enable 'Star Rating' to display the rating in your store.
  • Tick 'Product page' to display the rating on the product page.
  • Tick 'Collection page' to display the rating on the collection page.
  • Tick 'Home page' to display the rating on the home page.

Using Snippet Code​

You can use the provided snippet code to insert the rating at the desired position on the product page. Here's a detailed guide on how to insert the code at your desired position on the product page.

  • Copy the snippet code.

  • Go to the 'Theme' page. Under 'Current theme', select 'Actions' and then 'Edit code'.

  • Select the 'main-product.liquid' file. Insert the code at the position you want and then click 'Save'.

  • The star rating will now be displayed in your store.
